About us

More about us

A closer look at our company – with full accounts of our history, how we work, what we do and more.

Who we are

A closer look

It all started in 2006. The focus was on drywall from the outset – putting up walls, suspending ceilings, filling until the surface is right. Those first jobs grew over the years into the whole trade: ceilings, floors, tiling and the fit-out of complete rooms.

In April 2024 the business became KR-M Bau GmbH. The legal form is new, the work is not: the same hands, the same experience, simply under a name that also carries larger projects.

Over these twenty years the work has taken us into very different buildings – office floors and medical practices as well as hospitals, schools and individual flats. Size is secondary. What counts is that a room works on handover and still does ten years later.

One simple rule has stayed with us throughout: say what can be done, then do what was said. Keep to dates, leave the site clean, and put right whatever does not fit before invoicing.

What that looks like in practice is shown by the work of recent years: areas for an energy utility, in a municipal hospital, in a car dealership and in a grammar school, along with flats and individual rooms. A selection is further down this page.

The company is based at An der Kirche 6 in 30457 Hanover, Germany. We work in the city and the surrounding area.

How we work

How a project runs with us

  1. Measuring on site

We look at the room rather than working from the drawing. Existing buildings almost always differ from the plan – slopes, services, heights. Whatever we notice, we say straight away and not later on the invoice.

  2. Discussion and quotation

You receive a quotation with the items listed individually. That makes it clear what each amount is for, and single items can be removed or added.

  3. A firm date

We name a period and keep to it. If something slips – because a preceding trade is not finished or material is missing – you hear about it as soon as we do.

  4. Execution and handover

The site is left tidy at the end of each day. At handover we walk through it together; anything that is not right is put right before we invoice.

Area and projects

Where we work

We operate in Hanover and the surrounding area: Ricklingen, Wettbergen, Linden, Bemerode, Kirchrode, Südstadt and List, plus Garbsen, Laatzen, Langenhagen, Seelze and Ronnenberg.

For larger projects we travel further. Just ask – we will tell you plainly whether it can be arranged.

Who we work for

Part of our work comes from main contractors and developers. There, what counts above all is keeping to dates and handing over a clean interface to the next trade.

The other part comes directly from owners, medical practices and property managers. Here the advice matters more: which build-up suits the room, what it costs, how long the work takes. We serve both.

Frequently asked questions

Do you also work for private clients?

Yes. Alongside work for main contractors and developers we fit out flats, houses and medical practices. A single room is not too small for us.

What does drywall cost per square metre?

An honest answer is not possible without measuring. The price depends on the wall build-up – single or double boarding, with or without insulation, what sound and fire protection is required – and on how accessible the site is. We take a look and then give you a fixed price.

How long does a drywall partition take?

An ordinary partition is usually standing the same day. Getting to a surface ready for decoration adds drying times between filling coats, typically one to two further days.

Do you take on small repairs?

If we are in the area anyway, yes. For a single damaged ceiling tile the journey alone is rarely worth it – talk to us and we will tell you honestly whether it adds up.

Do you work outside Hanover?

In the nearer surroundings regularly, beyond that depending on the size of the project. For larger works, distance is not an obstacle.

How quickly do you respond to an enquiry?

Usually within one working day. If it is urgent, better to call – on site the phone is heard more reliably than the inbox.

Are you hiring?

We are generally open to reinforcement – drywallers, tilers and floor layers as well as labourers with site experience. Even when no position is advertised, a short message to info@krm-bau.de or a call is worth it. Anyone who works cleanly and turns up reliably usually finds a place with us.
