Waterproofing is the part you never see
In a shower it is not the tile that keeps the water out - it is the waterproofing beneath it. It is applied to the substrate, reinforced at corners, floor-to-wall joints and penetrations with sealing tapes and collars, and it has to be completely closed before the first tile is set.
Mistakes here often only show years later, and then in the structure below. That is why it is the step we take least quickly.
Format, joint, laying pattern
Large formats look calm but need a very level substrate. Small formats and mosaics are more forgiving and set accents. Joint width and colour also change the impression of a room considerably. We go through all of it with you before we start, so the result matches what you had in mind.
