Flooring
A floor lasts decades or two years, and the difference is usually made underneath it. We prepare the substrate and lay parquet, laminate, vinyl, design floors and carpet.
What we lay
- Parquet - bonded or floating, sanded and oiled on request
- Laminate and design floors, click or bonded
- Vinyl and rubber coverings, including sheet material
- Carpet for offices and living spaces
- Skirtings, transition profiles and edge details
The substrate decides
Before any covering goes down we check the substrate: is the screed dry enough, is it level, will it bear? Screed that is still too damp makes parquet cup, and an unevenness of a few millimetres will show through any vinyl floor later on.
Depending on what we find, priming, levelling or a separating layer follows. This step is invisible and the most important one in the whole job.
Underfloor heating
Not every covering makes sense over underfloor heating. What matters is thermal resistance: the more insulating the build-up, the more heat stays below. We advise on the right combination of covering, laying method and underlay so the heating actually reaches the room.
